Class Information
Treasure Hunt is an one term class of 5 lessons, and 15 tasks. Basically there are 3 smaller tasks, also known as locations, per each assignment. All the assignments will be available at all times. Assignments will also be known as maps. Points for each location will be awarded separately. If you have any questions, HOL message Maxim Trevelyan (ma1876)!
Each assignment will have two options. You can pick only one to get the points you need. You may do both, but there will be no extra points available for you.
It is important to mention that all the lessons are based on pirates!
You will have more information in the assignments themselves. So pay attention! There will be one assignment extra for people who did not earn the maximum, and want to earn it, or for people who just want to get more points (you can earn a maximum of 300 points for taking this class), or for people who decided to skip an assignment and want to replace it with that one. There is only one due date and it is 15th of June. There will be no extensions.
There is absolutely no criteria for signing up. As long as you have clicked the respective sign up button, you will be accepted into the class.
What if I have trouble accessing the site or completing certain parts of the assignments? If your browser or accessibility software (screen reader, magnifier, or other) makes it difficult for you to navigate the rolling links, send me a message and I will happily send you all the links you will need. The same goes for any problems you may have with completing certain sections of the assignments. I am happy to look at alternative options suited to individuals.
Points for your assignments will be awarded on a monthly basis.
In order to pass this class and earn a quill, you must earn at least 120 points (complete 40% of the class). None of the assignments are mandatory.
There are also two awards for the students! Jolly Roger will be given to students who turn in at least 12 locations. Blackbeard award will be awarded to the students who have the most points of their house.
